Business Services Manager

About the role

Lumwana Mining Company is looking for a highly motivated Business Services Manager to join the Maintenance team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all non‑technical support functions, ensuring the maintenance operation runs efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, consolidate and manage the annual OPEX and CAPEX maintenance budget; monitor spend and prepare variance analysis.
• Approve purchase requisitions, contract variations and invoice coding within delegated authority.
• Oversee procurement of maintenance goods and services, manage vendor performance and lead quarterly business reviews.
• Maintain CMMS data integrity, manage user access, lead upgrades and integrations with ERP, telematics or condition‑monitoring systems.
• Produce KPI dashboards (availability, MTBF, MTTR, cost per hour, schedule compliance, backlog) using Power BI, Tableau or Excel.
• Provide data‑driven insights to reliability analysts and maintenance managers.
• Plan workforce headcount, shift coverage, skills matrix and monitor training compliance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to honesty, transparency, integrity and a results‑driven approach.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and financial reporting within an industrial or mining environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement, contract management and supply‑chain coordination.
• Ability to lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and drive cost‑saving projects.

Required skills

• CMMS administration and implementation.
• Power BI, Tableau or advanced Excel for reporting and dashboard creation.
• ERP integration experience.
• Inventory and spare‑parts management.
