Farm Operations Assistant

About the role

Prima Verde Farms is expanding its organic produce operations in Zambia and seeks a proactive Farm Operations Assistant. The role supports daily farm activities, supervises workers, and helps ensure efficient, sustainable production.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily farm operations and staff activities.
• Supervise planting, irrigation, harvesting, and post‑harvest handling.
• Manage farm schedules, monitor worker attendance and productivity.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of farm equipment and tools.
• Coordinate beetroot production for processing and monitor inventory of seeds, fertilizers, packaging and other inputs.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and operational standards across the farm.
• Support implementation of organic and sustainable farming practices.
• Prepare simple operational reports and updates for management.

Required profile

• Experience in farm supervision, management or agricultural operations.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Organized, reliable and able to work independently.
• Willingness to live on‑site or commute consistently.
