Inventory Control Clerk

About the role

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for managing inventory within a finished‑goods warehouse, ensuring that all physical movements are accurately reflected in the Syspro system and that governance processes are followed.

Key responsibilities

• Execute pre‑stock take processes, print and act on reports, and ensure adjustments are made before counts.
• Participate in regular stock counts of raw materials, finished goods, empties and pallets, and investigate variances.
• Compile and sign‑off daily/weekly/monthly stock take packs and maintain secure records.
• Track and report inventory in the obsolete warehouse, verify gate registers, and ensure invoices are recorded.
• Apply good waste management, housekeeping and 5S principles, and liaise with internal and external customers.
• Conduct random security camera checks and three‑point independent shipment checks.
• Monitor stock age, rotation (FEFO), packaging quality, and inventory days of cover.
• Maintain documentation compliance and support team and VPO goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or supply‑chain functions.
• Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance‑driven mindset.
• Good verbal communication and a dependable work ethic.

Required skills

• Syspro inventory management system.
• Microsoft Office suite.
