Mechanical Engineer – Cement Plant Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to lead the operation and maintenance of key cement‑plant equipment. You will work on vertical roller mills, reclaimers and related machinery, ensuring reliability, safety and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct experiments, analyse data and interpret results to improve equipment performance.
• Identify problems, develop effective solutions and modify designs to eliminate malfunctions.
• Lead a team of engineers in supervising maintenance activities and ensuring timely completion.
• Perform failure investigations, implement corrective actions and minimise downtime.
• Plan manpower for daily monitoring, breakdowns and shutdowns, and maintain check‑lists and spare‑parts inventory.
• Use SAP MM and PM modules for maintenance planning, upgrades and documentation.
• Prepare product reports, documentation and solicit operator feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safety legislation and quality standards during all maintenance work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a cement plant.
• Strong incident analysis and supervisory skills.
• Good knowledge of safety regulations and excellent oral and written communication.
