Steward – Hotel & Resort Operations

About the role

The Steward will support the Royal Livingstone Resort by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene across all operational areas. This role is essential to ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Store, handle, and use chemicals safely, protecting self and colleagues from misuse.
• Ensure proper use of safety equipment such as gloves, boots, goggles, masks, and hats.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces, areas, and operating equipment under stewarding control to meet hotel hygiene standards.
• Empty and clean waste bins and designated areas according to schedule.
• Keep exit routes clear of obstacles at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas and equipment, coordinating with engineering for maintenance when needed.
• Participate actively in the hotel’s energy‑conservation and environmental initiatives.
• Perform any other related duties as requested by management.
