Coordinator, Mechanical Aggregate Crusher

About the role

The Coordinator, Mechanical Aggregate Crusher is responsible for directing and coordinating all equipment activities at the aggregate crusher plant. Reporting to the Superintendent, the role ensures reliable, high‑performance crushing and conveying equipment to meet and exceed production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules for primary and secondary crushers, screens and conveyors.
• Implement operating procedures, guidelines and systems to maximise production while minimising costs.
• Ensure compliance with Zambian Mining Regulations and site HSE standards; investigate equipment‑related incidents.
• Prioritise plant housekeeping and maintain high equipment availability KPIs.
• Monitor equipment status, performance indicators and report corrective actions.
• Issue daily mechanical instructions to shift teams and attend handover meetings.
• Conduct routine field checks, diagnose defects, perform root‑cause analysis and drive preventive measures.
• Approve work requests and develop weekly maintenance plans with planners.

Required profile

• Knowledge of Zambian mining regulations and equipment ownership responsibilities.
• Strong focus on HSE compliance and incident investigation.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage housekeeping and maintain high field presence.
• Proven experience in coordinating mechanical maintenance in a mining or industrial setting.
