HR Compensation & Benefits Specialist

About the role

The HR Compensation & Benefits Specialist provides expert advisory support for the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Kansanshi Mining Plc's total rewards framework. This strategic role ensures remuneration practices are competitive, equitable, performance‑driven, compliant and financially sustainable, helping the business attract, motivate and retain critical talent.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the Kansanshi Total Rewards Strategy, translating business priorities into effective reward solutions.
• Provide specialist advice on job evaluation, grading, job families and career levels, ensuring internal equity.
• Conduct compensation benchmarking, analyse market data and identify gaps or emerging compensation risks.
• Develop, maintain and review salary structures, pay ranges and conduct annual salary reviews.
• Model financial impacts of proposed reward changes and support merit and incentive processes.
• Design and review short‑ and long‑term incentive schemes aligned with business performance, safety and strategic goals.
• Monitor emerging reward trends and mining industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, legal and HR regulations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in total rewards design and implementation.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Experience with recognised job evaluation methodologies and compensation analytics.
• Knowledge of mining industry compensation trends and market intelligence.
• Ability to advise HR and business leaders on reward strategy and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
