Maltings Plant Process Artisan

About the role

The Process Artisan is responsible for operating the maltings plant process area, performing non‑destructive quality checks, and carrying out routine maintenance to ensure safe and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the process area according to work instructions and maintain usage standards.
• Carry out non‑destructive quality checks and record results in the appropriate system.
• Monitor waste, review trends and report opportunities for improvement.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and inspection of equipment following the maintenance schedule.
• Respond quickly to upstream or downstream triggers that cause stoppages and apply problem‑solving techniques.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards and ensure safe work practices.

Required profile

• Effective communication, actively participating in shift meetings and using logbooks to share information.
• Strong problem‑solving ability using tools such as 5 Why, quick‑fix routines and escalation when needed.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset, using run/control charts, Pareto analysis and gap lists to identify waste.
