Bulldozer Operator

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Lusaka involves operating a bulldozer to carry out earth‑moving, grading and land‑clearing tasks for large‑scale civil works. The operator works closely with surveyors, machine operators and site supervisors to ensure work is performed safely and to project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑start inspections, monitor equipment performance and report any faults or maintenance needs.
• Operate the bulldozer according to site layouts, maintaining proper slopes, levels and grades.
• Collaborate with surveyors and other site personnel to follow project plans and adjust work as required.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, wear required PPE and follow traffic‑management plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating bulldozers or similar heavy earth‑moving equipment in construction or civil‑works projects.
• Relevant operator certification, licence or trade qualification meeting local regulations.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety practices and ability to work extended hours, shifts or weekends as needed.
• Ability to read and follow site plans, grading markers and supervisor instructions accurately.
