Carpenter – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join the engineering team at Avani Victoria Falls Resort. You will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s interior and structural elements, ensuring that all carpentry work meets our high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Complete activities on the preventive maintenance schedule as defined in hotel plans.
• Clean work areas after each task and maintain all tools supplied by the hotel.
• Participate actively in the hotel’s energy‑conservation programs and suggest cost‑saving ideas.
• Follow all safety procedures while performing carpentry tasks.
• Maintain effective communication with the Shift Leader throughout the shift.
• Utilize or recommend environmentally‑friendly products where appropriate.

Required profile

• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Responsibility for caring for tools and equipment.
• Willingness to engage in energy‑saving initiatives and cost‑reduction suggestions.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with the Shift Leader and other team members.
