CATI Program Implementation Officer

About the role

The Officer, CATI Program Implementation will support the Country Support Platform of the Global Task Force for Cholera Control. Working with the Zambia Red Cross Society, the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office and national partners, the role will help implement and institutionalise the Case Area Targeted Intervention (CATI) approach in priority districts to strengthen cholera preparedness, prevention, early detection and response.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of the CATI approach in designated districts of Zambia.
• Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, Zambia National Public Health Institute, Disaster Risk Management Division and other partners to align activities.
• Monitor progress, collect data and produce regular reports for the IFRC and funding partners.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity‑building to local Red Cross societies and health authorities.
• Support the development of institutional mechanisms for sustained cholera control.

Required profile

• Experience in public health programmes, preferably in cholera or water‑borne disease control.
• Familiarity with humanitarian coordination and multi‑sectoral interventions.
• Ability to work with government ministries, national institutes and NGOs.
• Strong analytical, reporting and documentation skills.
• Commitment to the humanitarian principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
