Demand Planning Coordinator – Supply Chain

About the role

The Demand Planning Coordinator will join the versatile Supply Chain team at Lumwana Mining Company, reporting to the Superintendent – Demand & Supply. The role ensures critical stock and commodity availability through effective demand planning, forecasting, and inventory coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the demand planning process to deliver timely forecasting and replenishment of key commodities.
• Maintain adequate on‑site stock levels and ensure consumables are replenished on schedule.
• Monitor MRP runs, conduct weekly KPI reviews, and coordinate demand planning meetings (annual, quarterly, monthly).
• Act as technical and commercial liaison between Supply Chain, customers, and operational support teams.
• Administer consignment and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) agreements, ensuring correct SAP pricing records.
• Support the development and standardisation of business processes in line with best practice.
• Prepare regular reports and analytical data to support Procurement and Supply Chain KPIs.
• Promote safety compliance, incident reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
