Dispatch Analyst – Short Term (Mining)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Dispatch Analyst to join the Versatile Maintenance Team at Lumwana Mining. The role is short‑term and focuses on monitoring equipment health, coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring seamless communication between operations, technicians and dispatch systems.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor real‑time equipment status using fleet management and dispatch platforms.
• Assist in root‑cause analysis for major equipment failures.
• Track availability and utilisation of heavy‑mobile equipment such as haul trucks, excavators, loaders and drills.
• Serve as the primary communication link between operations and technicians for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate equipment dispatch to meet production targets and safely remove assets from service for repair.
• Analyse performance data to identify downtime trends and recurring faults.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate and an Advanced Craft Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum three years experience in reliability, condition monitoring, dispatch or a similar role.
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia.
• Unrestricted Class B driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with fleet‑management and dispatch systems (e.g., Hexagon MineOperate, Modular Mining Dispatch, Wenco, CAT MineStar).
• Strong data‑analysis and reporting abilities using Microsoft Excel.
