Field Paramedic – Emergency Response

About the role

The Field Paramedic will deliver rapid emergency services—including fire fighting, rope and vehicle rescue, hazardous‑material response, ambulance care, and fire‑system inspections—to protect personnel, equipment and production at the Lumwana Mining site.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to all emergency situations across the mine and surrounding township promptly.
• Carry out weekly planned maintenance and ensure all emergency vehicles, equipment and accessories are ready for use.
• Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly tests on emergency‑response equipment according to SOPs and OEM manuals.
• Compile and submit weekly and quarterly reports on equipment readiness and preparedness.
• Inspect, service and maintain the fixed fire‑system, providing status updates to the Emergency Response Supervisor.
• Adhere to safe working practices and follow all relevant procedures.

Required profile

• Grade 12 full school certificate.
• Diploma in Emergency Medical Care.
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience.
• Member of the Health Practitioner Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
• Post‑qualification experience in rescue and emergency services, preferably in mining.
• Computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence.
