Full-time Gastroenterologist (On-site)

About the role

Medland Hospital is seeking a full‑time Gastroenterologist to join its on‑site medical team in Lusaka, Zambia. The specialist will diagnose and treat digestive system conditions and perform advanced procedures such as endoscopy and capsule endoscopy.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including capsule endoscopy.
• Conduct patient consultations and review medical histories.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical professionals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.

Required profile

• Solid background in Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• Medical degree and board certification in Gastroenterology or equivalent.
• Licensure to practice medicine in Zambia or eligibility to obtain it.
• Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Endoscopy (diagnostic and therapeutic procedures).
• Capsule endoscopy.
• Knowledge of Hepatology and liver‑related conditions.
