About the role

The Bookworld Graduate Retail Management Scheme is a 12‑month, full‑time programme designed for recent graduates who want to launch a career in retail. Participants rotate across key business areas, gaining hands‑on experience from the shop floor to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through Warehouse Operations, Sales, and in‑store Customer Service to understand end‑to‑end retail processes.
• Lead project assignments that directly impact Bookworld’s performance.
• Participate in leadership development workshops covering team management, strategic thinking and decision‑making.
• Work closely with a senior mentor who provides guidance and insight throughout the year.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a degree in any discipline and a strong academic record.
• Genuine passion for retail and awareness of current industry trends.
• Demonstrated leadership potential through academic, extracurricular or work experiences.
• Adaptable, thriving in a fast‑paced environment and focused on delivering excellent customer service.
