HR Officer

About the role

Pilatus Zambia is seeking a highly organised HR Officer to support the effective management of human resources. The role involves coordinating HR administration, recruitment, employee records, staff welfare, performance management and ensuring compliance with Zambian labour requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day HR administration and maintain accurate employee records.
• Support recruitment and selection, including job ads, screening, interview coordination and onboarding.
• Prepare employment contracts, offer letters and other HR documentation.
• Monitor attendance, leave, employee movements and assist with payroll‑related information.
• Support performance management, probation reviews and documentation.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace concerns.
• Communicate HR policies, maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws.
• Prepare HR reports and liaise with government institutions on employment matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a structured or growing organisation.
• Knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR practices.
• Experience with recruitment, employee records, HR administration and employee relations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and high level of confidentiality.
