Loan Officer

About the role

The client offers vehicle‑collateral based loans and import financing at competitive rates. As a Loan Officer you will identify potential borrowers, promote loan products, assess customer needs and guide them through the loan application process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with auto‑collateral loan clients, achieving monthly and quarterly loan disbursement targets.
• Expand cooperative channels such as used‑car dealerships, auto finance companies, insurance agents and auto‑repair service providers to secure a steady flow of new clients.
• Conduct preliminary screening of client qualifications, including vehicle appraisal, credit checks, repayment capacity analysis and verification of loan purpose.
• Track and manage loans after disbursement, ensuring timely repayments and handling collections when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in auto‑collateral loans, auto finance, leasing, pawnshops or related fields.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to drive common vehicle models.
• Existing contacts in used‑car dealerships, agencies or car‑owner networks are preferred.
• Good knowledge of market trends for mainstream vehicle models.
• Ability to detect potential fraud risks.

What we offer

• Base salary of K5,000.
• Tiered commission ranging from 5 % to 8 % of business revenue generated.
