About the role

The Officer, Health Promotions will lead nutrition initiatives for First Quantum’s workforce and surrounding communities. This role focuses on promoting good nutrition practices, delivering counseling, and ensuring program impact.

Key responsibilities

• Promote good nutrition practices among workforce and community members.
• Plan and implement workplace and community nutrition programs.
• Collaborate with local health facilities to conduct nutrition activities, including school programs.
• Provide nutrition counseling to clients at the workplace and in the community.
• Identify children with nutrition challenges, manage cases and refer appropriately.
• Produce and disseminate health information materials to raise nutrition awareness.
• Monitor and evaluate nutrition program outcomes to measure impact.
• Prepare sectional budgets, manage financial and material resources, and report findings.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 certificate and a Diploma in Nutrition.
• Valid HPCZ practicing licence and a valid manual driver’s licence.
• Valid ZAQA‑validated qualifications.
• At least 5 years of experience in community nutrition, nutrition counseling, mother‑and‑child health, school nutrition or health promotion.
• Ability to conduct research, write reports and support decision‑making.
