Part‑time Remote Psychotherapist / Psychologist (Contract)

About the role

Spring Health is looking for qualified, part‑time psychotherapists or psychologists to join its provider network and deliver remote mental‑health care to employees in Zambia. The role is contract‑based and focuses on evidence‑based counseling through a tech‑enabled platform.

Key responsibilities

• Provide counseling sessions to adults (and optionally children, adolescents, couples or families) using short‑term goal‑focused EAP or employer health plans.
• Conduct assessments based on brief online screenings and tailor interventions to client needs.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date calendar, document sessions promptly in the scheduling system, and follow safety‑planning protocols.
• Collaborate with Spring Health’s provider support, clinical care navigation, and administrative teams as needed.
• Deliver culturally competent care in English, Nyanja or Bemba, upholding diversity and inclusion values.

Required profile

• Licensed to practice counseling (psychologist, psychotherapist, clinical psychologist, social worker, etc.) in Zambia.
• Minimum three years of independent clinical experience.
• Active professional liability insurance at market rates.
• Fluent conversational English and comfortable providing therapy in English, Nyanja or Bemba.
• Reliable computer, internet connection and competence with tele‑health technology.

Required skills

• Proficiency in evidence‑based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT and CPT.
