Process Artisan

About the role

The Process Artisan is responsible for operating a designated process area, performing non‑destructive quality checks, and executing routine maintenance activities. The role focuses on asset care, waste recording, and continuous improvement of process performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the process area according to work instructions and usage standards.
• Carry out required quality checks and record results in the appropriate systems.
• Document waste, review trends, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor process performance against targets and complete short‑interval control documentation.
• Respond quickly to upstream or downstream triggers that cause stoppages.
• Apply problem‑solving methods as defined in work practices.
• Perform housekeeping tasks, implement 5S principles, and ensure safe work practices.
• Assist team members with their tasks as needed.
• Conduct in‑depth cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of machines per maintenance schedules.
• Execute routine maintenance; escalate larger issues to the team leader.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance days, post‑mortems, and trend monitoring.
• Take corrective actions when trends indicate underlying problems, involving maintenance specialists as required.
