Process Lead

About the role

The Process Lead will oversee plant process lines at Dangote Cement, ensuring smooth operations, meeting production targets, and driving continuous improvement. This senior position requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor plant process lines, perform routine checks, and ensure sensor functionality across all units.
• Prepare detailed process reports and conduct tests to recommend improvements.
• Analyze key process trends, equipment performance, and support new or modified installations.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and liaise with Central Control Room Operators for efficient execution.
• Lead, motivate, and delegate tasks to a team of process analysts, providing feedback and conflict resolution.
• Communicate process vision and improvements to top management, employees, customers, and suppliers.
• Liaise with regulators, external auditors, affiliates, and outsourced service providers.
• Identify process inefficiencies, design workflow improvements, and deliver training on new procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputable institute.
• At least 5 years of experience in a modern automated cement plant (>1 MTPA kiln lines).
• 10‑15 years of progressive experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in achieving process and production targets.
• Strong understanding of cement industry regulations, internal auditing standards, corporate governance, and fraud risk indicators.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and excellent communication skills.
