Product Specialist – Crushing Solutions (Central Africa)

About the role

We are looking for a Product Specialist – Crushing Solutions to support our Central Africa territory. The role reports to the Service Manager – Central Africa and works closely with sales and service teams to promote Sandvik crushing equipment, aftermarket parts and provide technical assistance to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer training and technical service support for all crushing products across Central Africa.
• Assist installation and commissioning teams during erection of Sandvik crushing equipment.
• Guide customers’ maintenance teams in fault diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting using hydraulic, electrical and instrumentation schematics.
• Collaborate with sales to drive equipment and aftermarket sales, and provide feedback from equipment condition audits.
• Identify optimisation projects, brownfield upgrades and remote‑monitoring opportunities, promoting digital solutions.
• Maintain accurate installed‑base data in the regional database and ensure compliance with Sandvik health, safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, or equivalent technical trade background.
• Minimum 5 years experience in mining crushing and screening operations, both surface and underground.
• Proven knowledge of crushing and screening plant process flow and Sandvik equipment (ASRi/ACS systems is a plus).
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and a valid passport for frequent travel within Africa.

Required skills

• Electronics and instrumentation competence.
• Interpretation of hydraulic, electrical and instrumentation schematics.
• Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of crushing equipment.
• Implementation of remote‑monitoring and digital solutions.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially spreadsheets.
