Programme Analyst – MineTech Hub

About the role

The Programme Analyst will support the MineTech Hub, a key component of UNDP’s timbuktoo initiative, which aims to mobilise US$1 billion for African youth entrepreneurship and innovation. Based in Lusaka, the analyst will contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of the Hub’s activities across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and operationalising the MineTech Hub’s work plan, ensuring alignment with the timbuktoo strategic objectives.
• Collect, analyse and report on programme data, including performance indicators, financial tracking and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with regional partners, African Union institutions and other UN agencies to facilitate knowledge sharing and joint interventions.
• Support the preparation of briefing notes, policy briefs and stakeholder communications related to the Hub’s thematic verticals.
• Contribute to the mobilisation of catalytic and commercial capital by providing evidence‑based inputs for investment proposals.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in development studies, economics, public policy or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in programme management, monitoring & evaluation or development finance.
• Demonstrated experience working in an international or multilateral environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with data‑driven decision‑making.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
