Project Development Supervisor – Solar Energy Projects

About the role
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Development Supervisor to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of utility‑scale solar PV projects (100–200 MW) across Zambia. The role provides end‑to‑end administrative and operational support while acting as a key liaison between internal teams, government authorities, utilities, consultants, contractors, investors and local stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Support project planning, scheduling, activity tracking and progress monitoring for solar PV projects.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements, including logistics, travel and accommodation.
- Prepare agendas, record minutes, maintain action trackers and follow up on tasks.
- Conduct market research on Zambia’s renewable energy sector, solar trends and regulatory developments.
- Collect, analyse and organise data for feasibility studies and strategic decisions.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, technical reports and briefing materials.
- Serve as liaison with government agencies, power utilities, regulatory authorities, local partners, consultants, contractors and investors.
- Support preparation, submission and follow‑up of permits, approvals, licences and compliance documentation.
- Monitor project expenditures, assist with budget tracking and financing documentation.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards and management updates.
- Organise and maintain project files, contracts, technical documents and official correspondence.
- Participate in site inspections, coordinate on‑site activities and support field data collection.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project administration, coordination, infrastructure, energy or development projects. Outstanding fresh graduates with strong academic records are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in document management, report writing and stakeholder engagement is an advantage.
