Public Relations & Commercial Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Public Relations & Commercial Manager to manage relationships with government bodies, public institutions, and commercial partners, ensuring smooth factory operations in Zambia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with government departments, local authorities and public institutions, arranging visits and handling communications.
• Coordinate licensing, permits, annual inspections and other administrative procedures, maintaining tracking logs and expiry reminders.
• Liaise with land owners, community representatives and raw material suppliers to address land use, supply and mineral rights issues.
• Develop and manage local partners for transportation, warehousing and engineering services, overseeing inquiries, negotiations and performance.
• Coordinate with utility providers (power, water) to resolve service applications, billing disputes and operational issues.
• Participate in commercial negotiations within authorized scope, drafting English correspondence, meeting minutes and contracts, and following up approvals.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in commercial coordination, government relations or similar roles.
• Good English communication skills and familiarity with Zambia’s business environment.
• Honest, reliable and responsible.
• Proactive, well‑organized, capable of troubleshooting and delivering results.
• Team player with proficiency in basic office software.
