Purchasing Supervisor – Procurement Lead

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Purchasing Supervisor to lead our procurement activities. The role ensures the timely acquisition of goods and services, drives cost‑effective strategies, and maintains strong supplier relationships to support business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily purchasing operations and guarantee timely procurement of goods and services.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value.
• Review purchase requisitions and approve purchase orders in line with company policies.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
• Coordinate tendering and supplier evaluation processes where applicable.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare purchasing reports.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand requirements and forecast purchasing needs.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and support procurement team members to achieve departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, infrastructure or related industries preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems such as SAP.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
