Safety, Health & Environmental Manager

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Safety, Health & Environmental Manager position is based in Lusaka. The manager will develop, implement and monitor safety, health and environmental policies and procedures across all company operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Train employees on safe work practices and maintain EHS documentation and records.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness plans and drive continuous improvement in safety culture.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and leadership teams to embed safety, health and environmental considerations into business activities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) management.
• Expertise in occupational health practices within industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Experience with environmental compliance, monitoring and reporting.
• Relevant professional certification such. as NEBOSH or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience managing safety, health and environmental programs in a manufacturing or food‑processing environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and incident investigation abilities.
• Effective communication and training skills to engage all organisational levels.
