Sales Manager – Earth Moving Equipment

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead the sales division of an earth moving equipment company, driving revenue growth and expanding market share across construction, mining and infrastructure sectors in Zambia and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of sales executives and representatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, mining companies, government agencies and other key clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s footprint.
• Oversee tender preparation, contract negotiations and deal closures.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
• Collaborate with service and technical teams to ensure seamless after‑sales support.
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts and market insights to senior management.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events and client meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of sales management experience, preferably in heavy equipment or industrial products.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CRM systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
