Sales Representative – Bakery Ingredients

About the role

The client is a leading supplier of bakery ingredients serving bakeries and food manufacturers across Zambia. They are looking for an experienced Sales Representative to grow sales, strengthen customer relationships, and expand market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the bakery and food manufacturing sectors.
• Promote and sell bakery ingredients to existing and prospective customers, meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and product presentations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with bakery owners, production managers and procurement officers through regular visits.
• Provide excellent customer service, handling inquiries, concerns and complaints promptly.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and gather customer feedback.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts and market updates for management.
• Develop deep product knowledge and support technical inquiries and product launches.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Food Technology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years proven sales experience in bakery ingredients.
• Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of the bakery industry and customer needs.
• Valid driver’s licence held for at least 2 years with a clean record.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
