Sales Representative – Lusaka & Central Provinces

About the role

Yara Fertilizer Zambia Limited is seeking a permanent Sales Representative to serve small‑holder farmers and agro‑dealers in Lusaka and the Central Provinces. The role focuses on promoting Yara’s plant nutrition products, building strong stakeholder relationships, and achieving sales targets set by the Agronomy & Commercial Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell Yara fertilizer and crop nutrition products to distributors, cooperatives, and small‑holder farmers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Coordinate field activities, events, and order processing while ensuring accurate reporting and record‑keeping.
• Conduct market research, monitor competitor activity, and support product stewardship initiatives.
• Manage stock control and adhere to health, safety, and quality standards (HESQ).

Required profile

• Degree in General Agriculture with experience in sales and marketing.
• Minimum 2 years of successful experience in a similar agricultural sales role.
• Membership of the Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AIZ) is required.
• Ability to travel extensively across Lusaka and Central Provinces.
• Strong communication skills in English; fluency in Nyanja, Bemba, Lenje or Tonga is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using SAP for order and stock processes.
