Senior Advisor – Agriculture, Market Systems & Climate Finance

About the role

The Agriculture, Market Systems and Climate Finance Senior Advisor will act as the technical lead for VisionFund’s agricultural finance, market systems and climate‑finance initiatives. The role will manage the CrediEnterprise pilot across nine African and Central American countries, provide expert advice, and support resource mobilisation for related grants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on best practices in agricultural, market systems and climate finance to VisionFund operations and partner MFIs.
• Lead the internal Climate Financing working group and represent VisionFund in external technical forums.
• Support resource development by contributing technical content to grant proposals and donor positioning.
• Oversee implementation of the CrediEnterprise product, including training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate monitoring, evaluation and knowledge‑management activities for the THRIVE 2030 programme.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience as a technical lead in agricultural finance, climate‑finance or market‑systems projects, preferably in a multi‑country context.
• Proven ability to manage grant‑funded pilots, work with micro‑finance institutions and engage donors to secure institutional funding.
