Senior Construction Superintendent – Process Plant (Fixed Term)

About the role

Lumwana Mining Company is looking for a Senior Construction Superintendent to join the Lumwana Expansion Project Team. Reporting to the Lead Construction Plant, you will help lead the construction of process‑plant facilities, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Construction Process in planning, scheduling and coordinating process‑plant construction activities.
• Supervise day‑to‑day construction work for crushers, conveyors, grinding circuits, flotation and leaching plants, thickening systems, tailings facilities and associated utilities.
• Monitor progress against project schedules, identify risks and interface issues, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, civil, commissioning) to ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct field inspections, walk‑downs and quality audits to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and industry standards.
• Oversee installation of critical equipment such as mills, crushers, flotation cells, thickeners, agitators, pumps, tanks, pipelines and conveyors.
• Manage contractor performance, manpower deployment and equipment utilization.
• Promote a strong Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) culture on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale process‑plant construction projects in the mining sector.
• Strong commitment to safety, integrity and results‑driven delivery.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, procurement, operations, maintenance and external stakeholders.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and accountability for project outcomes.
