Senior Resident Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer to lead civil engineering projects with a focus on dams, earthworks and construction supervision. The role involves delivering projects on time, within budget and to the required quality and contractual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects from implementation through to completion.
• Provide technical leadership in dams engineering, earthworks, construction supervision and site investigations.
• Supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Develop, maintain and monitor project programmes, schedules and budgets.
• Identify risks, track progress and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants and site personnel.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes, including inspections and testing.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineering staff and prepare technical and progress reports.

Required profile

• National Diploma or BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering with professional registration with EIZ.
• At least 20 years of civil engineering experience, including dams engineering, earthworks and construction supervision.
• Proven experience in site investigations, project management and contract administration.
• Strong ability to manage resources, budgets, timelines and deliverables.
• Excellent English communication skills and willingness to work on‑site and travel.
