Supermarket Channel Sales Specialist

About the role

The Supermarket Channel Sales Specialist will drive growth and manage the company’s presence across individual and chain supermarkets in the assigned region. The role combines sales development, retail execution, inventory control and long‑term relationship building with store managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new and maintain existing supermarket clients; conduct regular store visits and resolve operational issues.
• Implement company display standards, organise shelves, end‑caps and promotional materials to ensure a consistent brand image.
• Perform inventory counts, monitor stock turnover, guide ordering to prevent stockouts or overstocking, and manage order fulfillment.
• Execute promotional activities, track sales performance, handle reconciliation, follow up on credit terms and report financial risks.
• Conduct market research on competitor pricing, promotions and new products; maintain daily/weekly visit logs, sales and inventory reports.

Required profile

• Associate degree or higher, preferably in Marketing or Business Administration.
• Proven experience in FMCG supermarket channels, ideally with Zambian supermarket development.
• Self‑disciplined, goal‑oriented, honest and compliant with company policies.
• Comfortable with outdoor field work and able to work under pressure for the long term.

Required skills

• Motorcycle or electric‑vehicle operation for field visits.
