TSF Planner – Integrated Construction Scheduling

About the role

The TSF Planner will develop integrated construction schedules for Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) infrastructure projects, coordinate earthworks, pipeline relocations and operational support activities, and ensure reliable delivery of mining infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop integrated weekly, monthly and annual work plans for operations, maintenance and construction activities.
• Coordinate planning meetings with operations, maintenance, construction teams and contractors.
• Track construction progress against approved schedules and produce weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain departmental CMMS, asset registers, preventive maintenance schedules and work order history.
• Manage critical spares, monitor purchase requisitions and support inventory optimisation.
• Support implementation of ISO 55001 asset‑management principles and lifecycle planning for pumps, pipelines, valves and civil infrastructure.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis investigations and develop reliability and maintenance performance dashboards.
• Promote safety culture, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards and participate in risk assessments.

Required profile

• Full Grade 12 certificate and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional registration with a recognised engineering body (EIZ/ERB).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mining operations, tailings management, construction or maintenance coordination.
• Training or certification in maintenance planning, CMMS, asset management or MS Project is an advantage.
