Vegetable Promoter – Kitwe, Zambia

About the role

Syngenta is seeking an energetic Vegetable Promoter to represent the company in the Kitwe region of Zambia. The role focuses on building relationships with farmers, retailers and distributors, promoting Syngenta vegetable seed varieties, and ensuring product availability throughout the channel.

Key responsibilities

• Create on‑farm demonstrations to showcase the performance of Syngenta vegetable varieties.
• Deliver technical training and share agronomic information with farmers in the assigned area.
• Organise and execute field days, product launches and stakeholder training events.
• Maintain regular contact with channel players to increase knowledge and utilisation of Syngenta products.
• Introduce new products to retailers and distributors through demos and technical sessions.
• Conduct weekly visits to retailer and distributor outlets to monitor stock levels.
• Follow up on retailer debts on behalf of distributors (collection not required).
• Track product movement and sales performance at retailer and distributor premises.

Required profile

• Diploma in Agriculture or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience (sales background is an advantage).
• Technical experience in demo creation, agronomy training and crop‑protection practices.
• Good knowledge of geographical, climate and environmental factors affecting vegetable production.
• Valid motor‑bike driving licence and willingness to travel extensively on a motorbike.
• Strong understanding of the vegetable seed market and customer needs.
