Warehouse & Yard Supervisor (S3 Operations)

About the role

The Supervisor, Warehouse, Yard will lead all stockyard activities at the Kansanshi site, ensuring efficient handling, safe movement of material and optimal utilisation of equipment. The role reports to the Superintendent, Warehouse and supports the commercial section in meeting operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all yard activities, including binning, picking, issuing, stock counts and equipment utilisation.
• Ensure pre‑start checklists are completed for all forklifts and trucks and that equipment is maintained safely.
• Maintain proper storage of stock to prevent weather damage and update bin locations in the system promptly.
• Resolve stock yard queries and discrepancies, and conduct regular stock preservation for critical components.
• Review performance of yard personnel, enforce health, safety, environment and quality standards.
• Perform any additional tasks delegated by the Superintendent.

Required profile

• Grade 12 School Certificate, CIPS Level 5 or higher, and a Bachelor’s degree in a commercial or technical discipline (verified by ZAQA).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in supply‑chain or warehouse operations, with proven supervisory experience.
• Member of ZIPS and experience driving operational goals and forklift operation.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Pronto and Excel.
