Ancillary Equipment Operator – Grader & Dozer

About the role

The Ancillary Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating graders and dozers to support mining and construction activities such as site preparation, material handling and rehabilitation. The role ensures that equipment is used efficiently while complying with all safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate graders and dozers for site grading, slope stabilization, road maintenance and drainage work.
• Prepare mine or construction sites by creating access roads and grading surfaces.
• Assist in moving and placing materials as directed, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
• Perform pre‑operational checks and routine maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Follow safety regulations, report hazards or incidents promptly, and maintain accurate equipment usage records.
• Collaborate with supervisors, other operators and site personnel to ensure coordinated operations.

Required profile

• Full Grade 12 certificate.
• Valid heavy‑equipment operator certification.
• Minimum three years of experience operating graders and dozers in a mining or construction environment.
