About the role
Onamo Group, a leading African technology and energy company, is looking for a Business Development Associate to expand its Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) portfolio. The role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, building client relationships, and guiding projects from concept to contract award.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for Solar PV and BESS solutions across commercial, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, education, mining and real‑estate sectors.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads through networking, events and direct outreach.
- Conduct client meetings and site visits to gather energy requirements and translate them into technical proposals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to create commercial and technical proposals and ensure timely submission.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract award, while maintaining accurate CRM records.
- Achieve revenue and project acquisition targets and provide market insights to senior management.
Required profile
- Ambitious sales professional with a proven track record in B2B business development.
- Strong understanding of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage solutions.
- Ability to build long‑term relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and strategic partners.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
