Business Development Manager – Blasting & Explosives (Zambia)

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead the growth of a Blasting Solutions business in Zambia. Reporting to senior leadership, you will identify market opportunities, build demand and secure high‑value contracts within the Zambian mining sector.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the expansion of Blasting Solutions products and technologies across Zambia.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities, creating market‑specific strategies.
• Secure high‑value contracts with mining companies and related stakeholders.
• Enhance brand visibility and position the portfolio as industry‑leading solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with mining firms, regulators and regional partners.
• Lead sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets.

Required profile

• Engineering degree, preferably in Mining.
• MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 10 + years of proven success in business development, commercial roles, technical sales or account management within mining or infrastructure.
• 4 + years experience in operations, product management or manufacturing in a mining environment.
• 3‑4 years project‑management experience.
• Strong customer‑service background with ability to build and manage relationships.
