Contractor Administrator – Shutdown Projects

About the role

The Contractor Administrator supports the planning, coordination and control of contractor activities during process plant shutdowns at the Kansanshi Mine. Acting as the central point of contact, you will ensure contractor resources are available, safe, and aligned with the shutdown schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of contractors, including site access, accommodation, transport and onboarding.
• Maintain visibility of all contractor resources and align workforce requirements with the shutdown and weekly plans.
• Support development and review of scopes of work to ensure clear deliverables before engagement.
• Collaborate with Planning, Training, Execution, HSE and contractor representatives to confirm readiness.
• Track contractor attendance, working hours and resource utilization throughout the shutdown.
• Maintain contractor performance records and develop a history database for future selection.
• Assist with contractor evaluations, lessons learned and post‑shutdown reviews.
• Support contract administration activities such as documentation control, compliance monitoring, scope management and invoice verification.
• Prepare regular reports on performance, manpower levels, costs, utilization and compliance.
• Identify and escalate risks related to contractor availability, logistics or contract execution.

Required profile

• Adherence to health, safety, environment, quality, finance and HR policies and regulations.
• Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
• Experience working in engineering or mining shutdown environments is advantageous.
• Ability to work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
