About the role
The Data Protection Officer (DPO) will lead the design, implementation, monitoring and testing of the company's data protection and privacy compliance programme. This role ensures alignment with applicable laws, regulatory requirements and Airtel Group privacy standards, embedding accountability across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, review and strengthen privacy frameworks, policies, procedures and controls.
- Monitor compliance with data protection legislation and internal standards.
- Identify, assess and mitigate privacy risks throughout the organisation.
- Provide guidance and training to business units on privacy obligations.
- Lead audits and testing activities to verify effectiveness of privacy measures.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in building and managing privacy compliance programmes.
- Ability to translate legal requirements into practical business processes.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
