Driver – Field Office Transportation

About the role

Action Against Hunger USA is seeking a reliable Driver to support its field office in Mantapala, Luapula Province. The role ensures safe, efficient transportation of staff, visitors, and program cargo while maintaining vehicle readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Drive program vehicles as directed, adhering to traffic rules and safety protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance (oil, fuel, brakes, lights, tires, windshield wipers).
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation such as insurance, road licence, and service records.
• Report accidents, incidents, or vehicle defects promptly to the supervisor.
• Refuel, clean, and keep the vehicle in good order after each use.
• Deliver parcels, letters, and other items to offices and businesses as needed.
• Assist the supervisor with planning and scheduling regular vehicle services.

Required profile

• Advanced Driving Certificate or equivalent professional driving qualification.
• Proven experience in vehicle operation and basic maintenance.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow organisational procedures.
• Good record‑keeping habits and ability to complete required forms and reports.
