Driver – Transportation Services

About the role

The Driver will provide safe and reliable transportation for Action Against Hunger’s field office in Mantapala, Luapula Province. This role supports program staff, visitors, and the delivery of essential supplies while ensuring vehicles are well‑maintained and compliant with all regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate program vehicles as directed, transporting staff, visitors and cargo safely.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, checking oil, fuel, brakes, lights, windshield wipers, tire pressure and reporting any defects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation such as insurance, road licence and service records.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, including tire changes, refuelling and cleaning.
• Deliver parcels, letters and other items to offices and businesses as required.
• Record accidents, incidents and unusual occurrences promptly and follow reporting procedures.
• Ensure vehicles are used only for authorized activities and report any unauthorized use.

Required profile

• Advanced Driving Certificate.
• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Ability to keep accurate maintenance and incident records.
