Field Service Technician (Electrician)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Customer Field Service Technician (Electrician) to install, commission, maintain and repair our advanced mill relining technologies for mining clients across South Africa and the wider African region. The role involves extensive travel, on‑site work and direct interaction with customers to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, commission, maintain and repair mill relining equipment at mine sites.
• Provide technical training and support to site personnel on equipment use.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Support spare‑parts sales and conduct stock audits at client warehouses.
• Collaborate with the Service Superintendent to meet customer needs and uphold service quality.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies while on‑site.
• Prepare and submit timesheets, expense reports and other administrative documentation.

Required profile

• Trade qualification as an Electrical Technician.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and reading electrical schematics.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 150 days per year.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Strong communication, computer literacy and time‑management skills.
