Finance Manager – Corporate Finance

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the corporation’s financial operations, ensuring accurate budgeting, reporting and compliance with IFRS and local regulations. Reporting to the Director of Finance at the Head Office in Ndola, the role supports strategic decision‑making through robust financial analysis and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, consolidation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts and expenditure plans.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management reports in line with IFRS and statutory requirements.
• Supervise reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements and other financial records.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard corporate assets.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Manage revenue collection, billing, debt recovery and cash‑flow processes.
• Oversee payroll administration and timely remittance of statutory obligations.
• Monitor expenditure and enforce financial discipline across cost centres.
• Maintain asset registers, inventory and stores records.
• Support investment appraisals, resource mobilisation and new business financial analysis.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks while improving system efficiency and automation.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and performance management to finance staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Full professional accounting qualification (CA Zambia, ACCA, ZICA, CIMA or equivalent) and membership of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
• Minimum five years progressive experience in accounting or financial management, with at least three years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of financial management systems, standards and statutory compliance.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sage accounting software.
• Proficiency with SAP financial management systems.
