Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health and performance of Deloitte's operations in Zambia, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and statutory financial statements.
• Manage tax compliance, statutory filings, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting, purchase requisitions, and payment runs within delegated authority.
• Maintain relationships with banks, tax authorities, and regulators, providing required financial information.
• Partner with East Africa finance teams to deliver accounts payable/receivable, treasury, budgeting, forecasting and continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and a professional qualification (CPA/ACCA/CIMA).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial finance role.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High ethical standards and integrity.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of IFRS.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or SAGE.
