Head of HR Operations & Training

About the role

The Head of HR Operations & Training will partner with the Head of Operations to design, deliver and continuously improve Alistair Group’s training programmes and personnel management processes across its logistics network. This senior role ensures that training, discipline and performance management align with company values and regional regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support operational teams to meet training and management objectives in line with Alistair’s standards.
• Conduct regular needs analyses and maintain a minimum 10 % training buffer for all fleets.
• Develop, approve and implement new training and management processes, monitoring KPI compliance.
• Provide instruction, supervision and mentorship to managers and trainers, ensuring adherence to directives.
• Maintain accurate training records and dashboards, and deliver monthly performance feedback.
• Lead disciplinary actions, performance reviews and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
• Liaise with external stakeholders and propose innovative improvements to training delivery.
• Promote and uphold the Group’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality vision, reporting incidents as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior HR training or management roles within a logistics or similar operational environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and enforce training standards, disciplinary procedures and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of relevant labour legislation and compliance requirements.
• Leadership capability to mentor managers and drive continuous improvement.
