Health and Nutrition Coordinator

About the role

The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of high‑quality health and nutrition programmes in Zambia, ensuring alignment with Action Against Hunger’s strategic objectives and donor requirements. This senior technical position provides strategic guidance, supports field teams, and represents the programme with external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver health and nutrition projects that meet country and sectoral strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Action Against Hunger and donor guidelines.
• Provide continuous technical support and capacity‑building for health and nutrition staff.
• Lead analysis of the humanitarian health and nutrition context and conduct regular field visits.
• Develop programme proposals, support fundraising, and contribute to recruitment and procurement as needed.
• Coordinate with logistics, HR, finance, and program teams to guarantee timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Represent the programme with government ministries, development partners, NGOs, private sector, research institutions, and academia.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading health and nutrition programmes in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, programme design, and monitoring frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
